Watch Hotel Noir Best Movies

Downtown Los Angeles, sometime in the 1950′s. Nighttime. A detective checks into a hotel across from the train station and waits. He knows it's simply a matter of time before the gangsters he has stolen from come find him. He has played his hand and come up short. He's broken his own rules. He's as good as dead. On his last night on earth, long past the point of caring, he meets as series of characters: a singer trying to become a better person, a salesman with a secret, a gambler with an attitude, a chambermaid full of dreams. The past keeps crashing into the present and the future - if such a thing ever existed - is but a vague rumor. This is the world of Hotel Noir. -- (C) Official Site

Review For Movie Hotel Noir
To succeed as more than a study in artifice, a film - especially one steeped in fatalism - needs to feel real.
Daniel M. Gold-New York Times

A first-rate cast and stunning black-and-white visuals aren't enough to make this homage to classic film noir successful.
Frank Scheck-Hollywood Reporter

It's hard to know whether Sebastian Gutierrez is imitating or satirizing the hard-boiled noirs of Hollywood's past, but either way it feels like a botched attempt.
Elizabeth Weitzman-New York Daily News

The film's weakest link is Rufus Sewell's rumpled gumshoe, inarticulate and mumbling to the point of madness.
Rex Reed-New York Observer

You never lose the nagging sense that you're simply watching a high-school drama club's production of '40s fatalism chic.
David Fear-Time Out New York

Gutierrez bathes in moodiness while remaining unconcerned with anything so pedestrian as dramatic cohesion.
Andrew Schenker-Village Voice

This film noir homage should have been fun, but it's cheaply shot and indifferently conceived
David Noh-Film Journal International

Though the kooky tale could have been more focused with fewer punchlines, all that seems to be missing is the dame called toots perhaps remarking to her latest possible infatuation: Is that a Kalashnikov in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me.
Prairie Miller-NewsBlaze
