Watch Dog Pound Movie with Full HD Format

Angel, 15 years old (recidivist): assault and auto theft. Davis, 16 years old: possession of narcotics with intent to resell. Butch, 17 years old: assault on a correctional officer. The three are taken to Enola Vale Youth Correctional Center in Montana and placed under the authority and watch of Officer Goodyear, a strict but caring guard. Butch faces the prospect of adult prison and tries to keep a low profile... until he and Davis become the subject of ruthless assaults by another inmate, Banks. Returning from solitary after they refused to rat Banks out, Butch challenges his attacker as the top dog. Like a bunch of strays locked up in the pound, the young men struggle to keep their bodies and spirits intact, but each act of violence swells ever more forcefully. (c) Tribeca Film

Review For Dog Pound

Without a strong political point (unlike its source material), "Dog Pound" feels hollow and hopeless.
Jeannette Catsoulis-New York Times

Neither the film's bark nor its bite leaves much of a mark.
David Fear-Time Out New York

[A] snarling but predictable survival tale...
David Jenkins-Time Out

Overheated melodrama of inmates at a juvenile detention facility hits all the prison-movie clichés.
Frank Lovece-Film Journal International

The plot willfully denies our satisfaction, often at the risk of compromising its own structural integrity.
Joseph Jon Lanthier-Slant Magazine

The movie never loses its miserable outlook; Chapiron practically revels in the ever-present dreariness.
Eric Kohn-indieWIRE

Intense scenes of violence build to a conclusion that will leave you shaken.
Mike Edwards-What Culture

The film is graced by excellent acting and based on extensive research.
Derek Malcolm-This is London

With largely improvised dialogue and a cast including genuine ex-offenders, Chapiron captures a powerful stench of authenticity.
Philip Kemp-Total Film

Covers predictable ground with admirable sincerity and is notable for some eye-catching performances, not least that of Adam Butcher as an angry young man.
-Daily Express

[Chapiron] never lets things gets boring, even if he can't help indulging in a few too many prison movie clichés along the way.
Alistair Harkness-Scotsman

There's no doubting the seriousness of the point Chapiron is trying to make regarding the way that young criminals can become trapped in a spiral of reoffending, but by pushing all the action into barely believable melodrama, his argument is weakened.
Amber Wilkinson-Eye for Film

Impressively directed, superbly acted teen prison drama that packs a powerful emotional punch.
Matthew Turner-ViewLondon

The ghost of Alan Clarke's Scum makes its presence felt in this lowering tale of a youth correctional facility in the American Midwest.
Anthony Quinn-Independent

Though Alan Clarke's original film still has the edge, this perhaps has more relevance for a new generation of cinemagoers.
David Aldridge-Radio Times

With a plot greased by spit, vomit and blood, it doesn't pack the same sucker-punch as the original but is never less than entertaining. Top dog.
David Edwards-Daily Mirror [UK]

Handles its brief with pace and precision.
Xan Brooks-Guardian [UK]

Kim Chapiron could make a seminal film about today's youth, but this isn't it.
Matt Bochenski-Little White Lies

There's something lacking in this respectable, effortful Scum-like drama from French director Kim Chapiron...
Tim Robey-Daily Telegraph

Offers a punchy insight to prison life. Unfortunately, it is a familiar and tepid storyline.
Nev Pierce-Empire Magazine
