This dreary independent drama is essentially an art-world soap opera, but without the melodramatic verve that makes some soap operas interesting.Ben Sachs-Chicago Reader
What we have here is a household ripe with seduction, lust, betrayal and repression, all kept below the surface by increasingly strained good manners.
Roger Ebert-Chicago Sun-Times
...a self-important nightmare ... shallow script and boring situations. Perhaps that is the simplest way to sum up the film, boring. Offensively boring.
Amanda Mae Meyncke-Film.com
The direction is decent, and the film is handsome. But it's finally frustrating, enigmatic in a way that suggests emptiness more than mystery.
Walter V. Addiego-San Francisco Chronicle
[A] lackluster indie drama ...
Kyle Smith-New York Post
You feel the characters' pangs as they spin out of control, and you are reminded of how easy it is for a careless sexual adventurer to destroy relationships and families on a whim, without even fully realizing it.
Stephen Holden-New York Times
A bushel full of familiar indie-film devices held together by honest writing and charming performers.
Chris Foran-Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
A movie made by women about men who misunderstand sexual signals, behaving badly, and the women who are stuck dealing with their bruised egos.
Robert Roten-Laramie Movie Scope
It's soap opera with a Hollywood tan.
Dennis Schwartz-Ozus' World Movie Reviews
Nervous, intriguingly sour little character study.
Kelly Vance-East Bay Express
Nobody does much of anything else, either, and that's the problem in this meandering and pretentious low-budget comedy.
Todd Jorgenson-Cinemalogue.com
...part comedy and part hipster horror film.
Chris Barsanti-PopMatters
A defiance of expectations and exploration of sexual politics that challenges convention--both in art and in real life.
Annlee Ellingson-Paste Magazine
Interesting but unsatisfying film about infidelity.
S. Jhoanna Robledo-Common Sense Media
A few scenes hint at the potential of the piece, while the rest of the effort seems more interested in curling up for a nap.
Brian Orndorf-Blu-ray.com
A compelling portrait of the different shades of sex.
Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat-Spirituality and Practice
Nobody Walks is a film of acutely observed little moments that unfortunately don't add up to anything of substance. It's a forgettable shrug of a movie, pleasant enough, but unlikely to linger.

Movie Overview For Nobody Walks
Martine, a 23-year-old artist from New York, arrives in Los Angeles to stay in the pool house of a family living in the hip and hilly community of Silver Lake. Peter, the father, has agreed to help Martine complete sound design on her art film as a favor to his wife. Martine innocently enters the seemingly idyllic life of this open-minded family with two kids and a relaxed Southern California vibe. Like a bolt of lightning, her arrival sparks a surge of energy that awakens suppressed impulses in everyone and forces them to confront their own fears and desires.TagLine Nobody Walks
